Sometime prior to Spring 2010, a gravel pit was established in Peachland that blocked off public access to forestry service roads that connected a trail system that connected parts of Peachland to the rest of the valley and to many lakes.  See the pictures below for details:

The red line below indicates forestry service roads that connect Peachland with a series of Lakes.
The black box indicates a cut out section that is blown up below for greater detail on how the gravel pit has cut off trail access.  Also the cut out section indicates a potential detour around the gravel pit that could reconnect the trail system again.  (See attachment at the bottom of this page for high res version)

Cut Out Map:

The following map shows the section of trail \ forestry service road that is now blocked by the gravel pit.  (Indicated by the white circle)
The black circle shows a location of an old bridge crossing that may be used to reconnect the forestry service roads and trail systems by-passing the gravel pit.
Legend:
Red:  Forestry Service Road
Blue: Trepanier Creek
Grey:  Highway 97
